Dan in
Real Life Questions
1. Dan
writes a column on parenting advice but has a lot of trouble parenting. Do you
think it is important to write about what you know?
A-I
think that you really don’t need to know exactly what you are writing about. If
you are giving advice, then all you really need to have is experience. People
can learn from, not your infinite knowledge but, your experience, and your
mistakes. I’m sure that there are many parents that learned from Dan’s single
parenting mistakes.
2. What
are three Tips you would
give parents of teenagers?
A-“Children
are people, and they should have to reach to learn about things, to understand
things, just as adults have to reach if they want to grow in mental stature.
Life is composed of lights and shadows, and we would be untruthful, insincere,
and saccharine if we tried to pretend there were no shadows. Most things are
good, and they are the strongest things; but there are evil things too, and you
are not doing a child a favor by trying to shield him from reality. The
important thing is to teach a child that good can always triumph over evil.” ― Walt
Disney Company Treat your child like
a person who needed your help. Offer to them your wisdom as an equal. That is
all that we ask for.
3.
Can you fall I love with someone in
three days?
A-Personally
I think that you can fall in lust with someone in only three days, but I think
that love is a whole other level. “I never thought true love existed and then I
met you. You showed me so much of love and have filled my heart. I never want
to lose you. I never want to be apart. Hold me in your arms and let me live
there for the rest of my days”. - Ronny Clarke This quote shows that really it
is just different for everyone.
